Ground Achors to secure your cross country fences to the ground.
How many anchors will you need to use depends on the style of jump, we would advise to use at least two anchors with single piece fences with a reasonable base width. Fit them at the side towards the front as they have a low centre of gravity i.e Cottage or Log Wall
The ground saftey abchors are fixed to the jump, either at the front or both front and back, using bolts or stout coach screws.(not provided) The brackets are left on permanently. With the jump in place, the anchors are hammered through the brackets, the slots in the brackets preventing unwanted rotation should the jump attempt to lift. Removal is by simply unscrewing them. No special tools are needed to fit or remove. Because of the relatively narrow profile of the anchor, they penetrate the ground easily and leave almost no trace once removed, generally, just treading over the slot in the ground made by the anchor will cover the mark. As ground conditions vary, always do a pull out test nearby to check suitability.
With fences that are going to be jumped from each side you will require 2 anchors on each side, four in total.
The standard size anchor is 460mm, however 620mm Long Anchors are available for sandy soil ground.
